The casino industry in Goa has emerged as a significant contributor to the state’s economy, generating Rs. 1,749.32 crore in revenue over the past five years. The figures, disclosed by Chief Minister Pramod Sawant in the Legislative Assembly, highlight the growing financial importance of regulated gambling in the region. Operating under the Goa Public Gambling Act, 1976, Goa currently hosts 23 licensed casinos, including offshore and onshore establishments.
